Dallas Hopes Down with Dak?

As abysmal as Dallas's defense has been through the first five games, I think most fans myself included thought that our offense might be able to carry us to the post season. Midway through the 3rd quarter, that hope was all but destroyed as Dak Prescott was carted off the field after an awkward tackle/fall left his right ankle facing the wrong direction. The diagnosis came later that evening. A compound fracture with an ankle dislocation that would result in a surgery and most likely a 4-6 month recovery. We somehow pulled out a win with the help of late game heroics by Gallup and a long field goal as time expired. We now sit at 2-3 miraculously and firmly on top of our division. Thankfully we have an experienced back up QB in Andy Dalton but I don't know if we can hope to pull out a season that is anything other than average at this point. Luckily Dalton will have over a week to prepare for the Monday night match up against the Cardinals. I still don't quite see us pulling out a win even if Dalton can lead the offense. The defense struggled to stop Daniel Jones so stopping Kyler Murray will likely be as painful as watching Dak go down in the first place. We will see what the rest of the season has in store on Monday and fingers crossed that losing Dak isn't the final nail in our 2020 season's coffin.
