College Football Week 7 Preview

Week 7 is a halfway point for the season and will be a wake up call for most teams what their post season really looks like. Oregon plays 1-4 California at home and should win big. San Diego State is trying to stay undefeated against an undefeated San Jose State and should succeed. Cincinnati plays UCF to stay undefeated. They are 21 point favorites and will add another win to their play off resume. The question is will it be enough? Cincinnati is in the play off committee's hands and I gotta say I don't like their chances.

Michigan State versus Indiana at Indiana should be a relatively close game and MSU is a 4.5 point favorite. They are still looking to win the Big 10 so they have way more at stake than the 2-3 Hoosiers. There is a big 12 top 25 match up between Texas and Oklahoma State. Texas is coming off an embarrassing loss to Oklahoma after a spectacularly bad defensive showing. Texas needs this win much more than OK State so I think (hope*) the Longhorns win this match up.

Arkansas has another bounce back match up against Auburn who also needs a win. Both 4-2 and needing a SEC West win to keep the dream alive. Arkansas is home and a 4.5 point favorite and I think they win to stay in the top 25 for another week. Florida plays LSU in Baton Rouge as an 11 point favorite. The Gators win this one and hammer that final nail in Coach O's coffin. Texas A&M returned to the top 25 after miracle win over Bama and plays Missouri in what should be an easy win.

Georgia faces another undefeated top 15 team to stay on top of the SEC East. Kentucky has been doubted all season long despite a big win against Florida and beating LSU BIG. They have one of the best offensive lines in the country and will get their biggest test of the year against Georgia's terrifying front 7. Georgia is huge favorites minus 23 points. I am honestly torn on what I think will happen because every time I think it will be a close game, Georgia absolutely obliterates the other team. So I am not gonna say how the game will go, only thing I feel safe saying is that the Dawgs win this one. Iowa will likely stay undefeated and beat Purdue by a touchdown or two.

BYU looks to bounce back against Baylor in Waco. The Bears are 6.5 point favorites against the Cougars despite falling out of the top 25. My mom is a Baylor alum so I guess sic 'em bears?? Speaking of bouncing back, Alabama faces Mississippi State in Starkville. I don't know what the score will be considering how bad Alabama's defense looked last weekend, but I know that Bama wins. Nick Saban hasn't lost two consecutive regular season games since his inaugural season in 2007. Alabama players are probably throwing up on their practice field right now. Either way, it's a bad week to be a Miss State fan. Oklahoma faces TCU in what should be an easy win especially if they keep Rattler on the bench where he belongs.

Ole Miss faces Tennessee in Neyland as a 3 point favorite. Tennessee finally figured out their offense (cue fans saying feels like '98) but Ole Miss has had theirs figured out all year. Ole Miss wins this game or I move out of Tennessee cause I can't handle a winning Vols team. NC State plays Boston College as a 3 point favorite. They are both 4-1 and fighting for top spots in a very bad conference. Arizona State plays Utah and its a pick 'em. ASU should win but since when do the shoulds actually happen in college football?
