NFL Week 5 Recap

Week 5 was a good one if you like watching kickers suck at their jobs. London saw the Falcons win against the Jets after finally releasing how to utilize Pitts in some way. Packers won in a tight one against the Bengals after Crossbar Crosby missed multiple field goals, he finally managed to get it right. All I want to know is where was this horrific kicking in the NFC Divisional against Dallas in 2016. Vikings had better kicking in order to beat the Lions on a last second field goal. Poor Detroit, they went for two to go up by 1 with less than a minute to go and still lost on a 54 yarder. Second time this year they lost 19-17 on a last minute kick, if you know a Lions fan (unlikely, I know) buy them a drink. They need it. The Steelers beat Denver with a last second interception in the end zone to seal the win. Ben stays alive for a little longer.

The Buccaneers beat Miami 45 to 17 as Tom Brady continued to defy nature and throw for 5 touchdowns in the big win. Saints won against the Washington Football Team while Jameis Winston threw for 4 touchdowns. Like I said another inconsistent thing about the inconsistent Saints. Eagles make another move forward beating Carolina. Darnold was back to his former self and in desperate need of McCaffery to bail him out. Titans made up for embarrassing loss against the Jets by beating the embarrassing Jaguars with Derrick Henry scoring three times. The Patriots rebounded late against the bad Houston Texans. New England's defense needs a lot of work as the season gets into full swing and they'll get a big test next week against Dallas's stacked offense.

Bears beat the Raiders in Field's first start. Gruden's last game with Las Vegas resulted in a loss. Chargers and Browns played a shootout that resulted in a Los Angeles 47-42 win. Herbert threw for four touchdowns in the win, two of which were to Mike Williams. Dallas kept winning despite a sloppy start against the Giants. The Giants were decimated by injuries throughout the game losing Barkley, Jones, and Golladay. Diggs kept his interception streak going and Brown got a pick six to keep Dallas's defense on top of the interception list for the season. Cowboys took a 2 game lead in the East and the Giants are in big trouble if any of the injuries are longer than a couple of weeks. I mean the Giants are in trouble either way, but if they lose any of those 3 for longer than 2 weeks their season is done before the halfway point.

Cardinals continued their win streak and stayed undefeated against the 49ers. The night game was a rematch of the AFC championship last year but with a very different outcome. Josh Allen and the Bills made the Chiefs defense look even worse than they've looked all year. Sorensen is an absolute liability right now. The Bills won big in Arrowhead despite a rain delay. Mahomes is desperate to live up to the hype and he's failing miserably. The Chiefs have a lot of work to do if they wanna reach the play offs at all with the stacked AFC much less the Super Bowl. As uninteresting as I thought the Monday night game would be it actually turned out to be a great game. The Ravens went into the third quarter down 22-9 and managed to will it into overtime behind Lamar Jackson's record breaking night. Jackson went 37 of 43 with 442 yards and 4 touchdowns beating Wentz with an overtime touchdown. They ended up winning 31-25. Poor Wentz- even when he manages to make it out of a game without throwing an interception, he still loses.
