NFL Week 8 Preview

Week 8 starts off with the undefeated Cardinals facing off against the 6-1 Packers. The Packers have lost Adams and Lazard to the COVID list which takes away a lot of Rodgers offensive weapons. It should be a close game but I don't see Green Bay pulling this off. The Panthers are facing the Falcons in a divisional game. Without McCaffery, I don't see the Panthers stopping their free fall anytime soon. Ryan is looking like his old self and is finally starting to use Pitts the way he should be used. They should win big.

The Dolphins won't be stopping their losing streak anytime soon either as they face the Bills this weekend. The Bills are coming off a bye and will be looking to beat up on the Dolphins after losing in week 6. The 49ers are struggling badly and will play the Bears this Sunday. Chicago got embarrassed against the Bucs and could bounce back quick as the 49ers still try to figure out their offense. The Steelers face the Browns in a divisional match up that is basically fighting for 3rd place. Baker is still questionable but Keenum took care of business last week and could again against an average Pittsburgh team.

The Eagles face the winless Lions. Philly is still struggling to get their pieces together and the Lions are coming off an emotional loss to the Rams last weekend. This should actually be a pretty good game and I hope that the Lions get their first win. Titans are playing the Colts in Indianapolis. The Titans are coming off 2 huge wins and the Colts beat the 49ers this week so it should be a relatively good game. The Colts are favored by 1 which I would jump on the Titans before it changes. The Colts aren't stopping Derrick Henry and Tennessee's defense should be able to stop Wentz.

The Bengals are in sole possession of first in the AFC North and will likely keep it this week as they play the Jets, who don't have Zach Wilson this week. Burrow and Chase will likely put up their LSU numbers on Sunday. The Rams will also stay winning this weekend as they face Houston, who is the worst 1-6 team in the NFL team. Stafford and Kupp will likely do the usual and connect for a few touchdowns to keep fighting for the NFC West.

The Patriots are coming off a huge win against the Jets last week and will not have long to celebrate as they face the Chargers Sunday. The Chargers are coming off a much needed bye after they got embarrassed by the Ravens in week 6. The Patriots finally looked like things were coming together last week albeit it was against a sad Jets team. They will have to keep it going if they are gonna contain Herbert and his many offensive weapons.

The Seahawks continue to struggle without Russell Wilson and will play the Jaguars in Seattle this week. This one will probably be pretty close and Geno Smith should be able to keep Seattle ahead. The Broncos have self destructed since their 3-0 start losing 4 straight. They play at home this week against the Washington Football Team and should win as WFT continues to try and figure out how to be at least average. Bucs play the Saints in another divisional match up. Saints are coming off a big win against the Seahawks with a great defensive showing but I don't see them being able to contain Brady especially if Gronk or Brown return. If they both return, it should be a beat down.

The Cowboys return after their bye against the Vikings. Dak is still questionable and I understand being a bit protective over the calf strain but I don't think Prescott will let himself be held out of this night game. The Vikings have one of the worst run defenses in the league so expect to see Zeke and Pollard get a lot of touches. Cowboys don't have a great run defense either so Cook should put up decent numbers but I still think Diggs could keep his streak up against Cousins. The Monday night game is a fight for average as the Chiefs face the Giants. Mahomes has struggled mightily this season and the Giants defense could keep that up but I still think that even with the Chiefs sorry defense that the Giants can't keep up. Kansas City should win to close out week 8.
